Join us Fall 2015 as we read Gifted Hands by Dr. Ben Carson. This book covers Dr. Carson's early years as a violent tempered young man raised by a single mother in inner city Detroit through his appointment as the director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland at age 33. Gifted Hands is an inspiring story of how a supportive mother helped her son believe in himself despite everything around him that told him different.
