Join the SKYCTC book club Fall 2017 as we read Night by Elie Wiesel. The author was a 15 year old Jewish boy when the Nazis invaded Hungary, his home country, in 1944. Young Eliezer Wiesel recounts this year in his life, describing it as one long night. Not long after the Nazi occupation, Eliezer and this family are removed from their home in Hungary and transported to Auschwitz, a German Nazi concentration camp in Poland. During this year, the Nazis robbed Eliezer of his home, his family, his health, his dignity, and his faith. This book is a powerful first hand account of the inhumanity man can inflict on man and one young man's survival in the face of that inhumanity.
